Oh, I just love Aimee, and I love this print of hers! Last week I finally admitted my big, big dreams to someone other than my husband, and it felt good! Saying it out loud helped me realize what I need to focus on now. So that's what I'm doing, starting with a website revamp to more clearly show what I have to offer. This print would be a great reminder over my desk!
My grit and moxie sometimes get defeated, and my big dreams look impossible. I need to post this magnet/print in a visible spot for daily encouragement to be courageous in my efforts to accomplish my goals (even big ones)!
I adore Aimee!!!! I have lots of her prints and magnets around my house, just because they make me happy. This one is awesome. This morning, I went for a meeting at my old office, which I left three years ago to spread my wings and fly on my own. It was such a great reminder of how happy I am that I had the courage to jump ship even when others told me I needed stuff like "stability" and a "paycheck." But I've survived - even thrived - without either, thanks to my moxie (it hates working in cubicles). Mwah!

You, Grit and Moxie are being held on the shoulders of your teammates!!! Rah Rah Rah!!!! Love those two...... they're like the brothers I never had... Sigh... When you next see them... tell them I owe them a beer!!!

I have grit and moxie in spades...I graduated high school at 16, and paid my own way through college with an exhausting mix of scholarships and 2 or 3 jobs at a time. Now, a mom to two young girls, I am in the second year of running my own children's theatre and scrounging up the time and creative energy to finish a book I started last November, I really want to get it in a finished enough form to start sending out query letters by the first of the year! I also plan to start another novel during NanNoWriMo in Nov...so I'll need to put all that G&M to work baby!

I love Aimee's artwork! She is so inspiring. I have just started my year long internship working with underprivileged youth and their families. Many of my kids are involved in gangs. The walls of my office are still bare.... and I think this doodle would be a great start to the vision wall that will be continuously added to while I'm there. I need the reminder to keep making my dream of bringing art and vision to this sometimes difficult crowd a reality by buckling down. And every single one of the kids I meet needs the reminder that they can achieve success if they just tried and believed in themselves. So if I were so lucky to have one of Aimee's prints... it wouldn't be just be getting the inspiration from it.

I love Aimee's work and have several pieces of hers already around my house. They are so fun and inspirational. I love the grit and moxie piece. What a great visual reminder to keep going, it's important and worthwhile. I am working with a small group to start a community orchestra and this is a good reminder to get busy, the work isn't going to do itself! I need to take a bit of time to focus on this project even at this busy time of year.
